High safety in hydraulics

BMG’s range of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment comprises a new portable self-locking cube jack system, that ensures safe and efficient lifting and lowering of heavy loads in many applications, including bridge maintenance and lifting of transformers.

“Our new hydraulic Enerpac SCJ-50 Cube Jack, with a 56 Ton (500 kN) capacity, is a compact incremental lifting and lowering system with an automated mechanical locking facility for higher efficiency, faster operation and greater safety than conventional climbing jacks with wooden cribbing,” explains Chantelle Janse van Rensburg, Enerpac Product Manager – BMG. “The self-locking Cube Jack uses a compact base lifting frame and self-aligning, lightweight steel cribbing blocks to provide high-capacity and stabilised lifting, without the need for electrical controls.”

The Cube Jack has a small footprint of 500 mm x 428 mm, for suitability, portability and restricted operating space. 16 kg steel cribbing blocks can be safely and easily stacked onto the compact base frame to a maximum height of 1 995 mm. The 475 mm minimum initial jacking height increases the flexibility of the system and reduces operational start-up time.

The SCJ-50 Cube Jack functions with standard 10,000 psi (700 bar) hydraulic pressure and is compatible with Enerpac SFP-series pumps. BMG specialists recommend using Enerpac Split-Flow pumps, that can synchronously operate multiple Cube Jacks, as an alternative to using separately operated pumps.

Other products in BMG’s Enerpac range include portable hydraulic electric E-pulse pumps and bolting equipment, industrial tools – such as hydraulic cylinders and suitable power packs – as well as bearing puller and maintenance sets.

This range of hydraulic equipment ensures quick, safe, and dependable operation in many industries, including mining, oil and gas, and power generation, as well as infrastructure and manufacturing.
